The End Always Comes

The End Always Comes is a casual (max ~20 mins) wave-based game set on another planet where players face the daunting challenge of surviving against an unyielding onslaught of alien species.

The core of the game revolves around strategically defending against continuous waves of extraterrestrial invaders, each wave more formidable than the last, symbolizing the relentless spread of these alien beings.

You will come to the haunting realization that permeates the game: no matter how skilled or prepared you are, “The End Always Comes.” This mantra echoes the game's infinite level structure, where there is no ultimate victory, only the pursuit of surpassing your previous best, pushing the boundaries of your resilience and strategy against an unstoppable tide.

Amazing little game. Can't wait to see what else you do with it.

It felt like an action clicker game until the mech arm happened, prrrrr. <3

Honestly such a good game with so much potential! I love it!

Played it cool game but balance is bit off. Still like it. How many mouses did it cost to make this game? :D

Thanks Kani. Yes, the earlier waves could be less difficult, and I was able to make it to wave 18. When I ran the numbers, it was possible to hit ~wave 20 before it became impossible.

the tutorial was great, the wole game experience was also great, and i really think yoyre game was potential. Keep the great work!!

I fixed the tutorial to go back to the game screen. Glad you enjoyed it.

I noted a bunch of things others have said, but you also said:

  • Visible crit animation
  • Adding a plus indicator on the shop metric
  • Different indicators to show you can't buy anymore. You thought you could save up and buy double mech arm.
  • Player health
